The school is run by a non-profit organization with the aim of providing Ethical oriented quality education to the Poor Children. We have currently 12 classes, starting from Pre-School (LKG) to 10th Grade.

Welcome to Thiruvalluvar Tamil School
Thiruvalluvar Tamil High School was started in the year 1995 with 22 children, with the aim of providing high quality ethical based education. Today the school has 250 children, studying from LKG to 10th Standard. The school is approved by the Government of Puducherry.

Education is provided completely free of cost to all the students

Aim of the Trust :


Run by the registered non-profit organization, the school aims in providing Ethics and Quality Education to the poor students at free of cost.

This benefits the students to form a sound base for their happy existence in this challenging world. It also promotes a healthy society of the future.


Primary Education Through Mother Tongue :


Following the scientific view of the Educationists that teaching through one’s mother tongue will enhance one’s grasping and analytical power, this school provides education through mother tongue-Tamil.  After having a thorough knowledge of mother tongue-Tamil, English is taught to the students in a more effective manner.

Muthu Krishnan is the Correspondent of the School. He is supported by 20 teachers, 3 administrative staff and 2 office assistants.
The school is run today in our own building. 
People who understood the core values and their benefit to the society have funded to buy a land for the school.
India Center of Charleston and The Citizens of Charleston West Virginia, USA have generously funded us US$ 48000.00 in the year of March 2007 through Rotary Club of Karaikal, RI District 2980 and Rotary Club of Williamson, WV 25661 RI District 7550 USA for the construction of 4 class rooms in ground floor. With their support only, we were able to shift our school from a rented building to our own building. Further they have magnanimously supported again for the construction of the first floor of our school by donating US$ 40423.00 in the year of May 2010. At present the construction of the class rooms of the first floor of our school is on the anvil.
The monthly expenditure of the school is Rs.90,000 per month, as of 2010
